How to wash socks properly | Our sock care guide
Pre-sort socks
Color pre-sorting of socks:
An integral part of your washing routine: pre-sorting your laundry. Before washing your socks, sort them by color and material. This will keep the colors of your socks looking good for longer! Roughly speaking, we recommend pre-sorting socks into black, white or colored laundry.
Turn socks inside out:
Socks should also be turned inside out during preparation - this way skin particles can be removed effectively.
The Right Wash Program for Socks
Cotton socks: Wash at 30-40°C:
Too much heat will damage your cotton socks and they may shrink. 30°C-40°C is perfectly sufficient.
Wool socks: Wash on a wool cycle at 30°C and a maximum of 600 revolutions:
For our wool socks, we recommend washing them exclusively on a wool cycle. This is what they like best by far. Because with the gentle wash cycle, you ensure that your wool socks do not shrink and retain their shape. After washing, remove the socks directly from the machine, shake them out lightly and gently pull them into shape while damp.
After washing the socks comes hanging them up
No dryer:
Socks last longer if you don't put them in the dryer. Therefore, our advice to you: skip the dryer and hang your socks to dry. This is also good for the environment.

How to care for your T-shirts properly
Key facts at a glance

- Dry clean with perchlorethylene
This is how your T-shirt will last a particularly long time
- Sort your t-shirts by color beforehand (black, white, off-white, lilac). Especially wash light-colored t-shirts separately or with other light-colored garments. This way, the colors of your t-shirts will stay vibrant longer! Generally, we recommend sorting t-shirts into black, white, or colored laundry.
- Turn t-shirts inside out before washing. This protects the print on your t-shirt.
- Use a mild, color-preserving detergent that is suitable for printed and colored textiles. We recommend using an organic detergent. This way, you care for your t-shirt gently and protect the environment.
- Wash your t-shirt on a gentle cycle or use the delicate wash program on your washing machine.
- Air dry your t-shirt, preferably in the shade and not directly in the sun. The sun can bleach the fabric.
- Do not use a tumble dryer for drying. Tumble dryers are particularly damaging to the t-shirt print.
- Lay or hang the t-shirt to dry so it retains its shape.
- Iron the t-shirt at low to medium heat. Turn the shirt inside out when ironing. This way, you won't damage the print. Ideally, use a damp pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric.
- Store the t-shirt in a dry place or hang it in a well-ventilated wardrobe. This will help it maintain its oversized shape.
- Never use bleach when washing your t-shirts.
- Of course, follow the care instructions on the t-shirt's label.
- Avoid strong rubbing or stretching of the fabric, especially in the printed area.
- Avoid overloading the washing machine. This is gentler on the t-shirt's fibers.
Our t-shirt is a heavy-weight t-shirt with 220 grams per square meter of fabric. The fabric is made of 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. This material requires a little more time to dry than t-shirts made of conventional cotton fabric.
